Karen X har delat ett inlägg på Instagram: "tutorial for my filter is on my stories highlights! 👉 Tips on using this filter ☀️It works best outdoors on a flat sidewalk, or indoors in a large room 1) First you have to get a clean scan of the ground, which is the hardest part. It'll say "find a flat surface" so you basically have to move your phone around a bunch until you see the elements appear. Try panning/tilting/moving closer and further. If you don't see anything appear, then you probably need a bigger space or a flatter ground 2) Then you should see a square that says "place me on the ground", tap that to place 3) Now you're ready to walk through! It's been a goal of mine to make an AR filter and I finally learned how to do it! 🤳 ✏️ Fun fact, I used AI to draw this filter! I generated each piece of the drawing in @openaidalle then I used Photoshop to make each image transparent. Finally, I placed the elements into AR 👩🏻‍💻 For anyone interested in learning AR I will say this was MUCH harder than I expected it to be. Mainly because I found Spark AR to have a really steep learning curve. @donalleniii recommended that I try Adobe Aero first so I tried that and it was super easy. Made the whole thing in less than an hour. But I wanted it to work as an Instagram filter, so I decided to recreate it in Spark AR. And that took DAYS of troubleshooting. I hope IG/Meta will make Spark AR easier to use in future versions because it's so empowering to create your own AR filters, and I'd love to see it become accessible to more creators. I also hope they can make some improvements to certain features like ground tracking (that's why my filter is still kinda janky with the ground scanning) Big shoutout to my AR mentors - @donalleniii @yunuene and @dude.sg who all helped me figure out how to troubleshoot this project.
