@mattbirchler The sole reason I still use Tweetbot over the official Twitter app is the latter doesn’t allow opening apps in Safari directly. I wish there was a system-wide setting to disable the in-app browser.

@mattbirchler The real solution here: Just get rid of SFSVC. Apps should at least offer the option to open links directly in Safari

Steps 3-7 are totally unnecessary and are a bad user experience. Apple needs to make this better. Question for my dev friends…can an app see what I’m doing in SVC? The URLs, contents of the pages, etc?

My top iOS 16 wish is that Apple makes it so I can stay signed into sites in Safari View Controller. 1. See a link on Twitter from a site I pay for 2. Tap link 3. “Sorry, need to sign in” 4. Tap to open in Safari 5. Read article 6. Close tab 7. Switch back to Twitter app
