Shortcuts is now too important to ship with these kinds of showstopper bugs. When my Shortcuts are broken (and many of them are in iOS/iPadOS 15 RC), my whole Apple experience is broken. Apple, please make Shortcuts stability a priority. #AppleEvent https://t.co/qR9yYyQy7D
Shortcuts for iOS/iPadOS 15 is shipping with all the bugs I covered recently:
- iPad app becomes unresponsive (SwiftUI)
- Editor crashes
- Share sheet without input sometimes
- Output of Menu blocks is empty
Apple is aware of these, but still. Not a good look for the app 😔
Apple PR confirms new iPad mini comes with 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU A15 Bionic chip, launches September 24.
iPadOS 15 (and presumably iOS 15) launches Monday, September 20.
They really did it – Apple made an iPad Air-like iPad mini without a Home button, a bigger 8.3" display, and Touch ID.
Sign me up for this, immediately. 😍

I've long been afraid of launching our own community. But honestly, the @ClubMacStories Discord has been such a lovely, fun, useful place to hang out in so far.
We have picked this book for our first AV Club session, and I can't wait to dig in. https://t.co/lu8TE0VC7r
The first story in the Mac Experience column by @johnvoorhees is out:
John has been using a @loupedeck Live for the past few months. He set it up with all kinds of buttons to control macOS. I love how nerdy this is and I wish I used macOS to try it 👀

I set up a custom domain for iCloud Mail, which launched as a beta feature last night. Here's how it works and what you need to know: https://t.co/DqMmxnXJBq https://t.co/AXWYXiKlXI

Speaking of Nintendo, I wrote about the excellent Delta emulator by @rileytestut in @ClubMacStories Weekly today. If you want to play old Nintendo games on an iPhone, this is the way to go.https://t.co/dPknXBZJJV pic.twitter.com/O2IPbxboFe— Federico Viticci (@viticci) August 13, 2021
Honored that Delta was featured in this week’s @clubmacstories! If you like Delta now, just wait until sideloading is officially allowed and I don’t need to constantly worry about Apple shutting me down anymore 😌 https://t.co/Lk2h3PY4Rs

Just another day being unable to order takeout because iOS 15 Safari’s bottom bar makes this checkout button untappable.thanks Safari for not letting me have that bruschetta 😢 pic.twitter.com/e23YTYzGM6— Federico Viticci (@viticci) July 22, 2021
In this week’s issue of @ClubMacStories Weekly, I published part 2 of my @obsdmd setup series. In this installment, I take a look at the theme I’m using, installing SF Mono on iOS, customizing the mobile quick action, and some third-party plugins I use.

Anyway, I booted up my iPadOS 14 test device and there's the old Safari with proper tabs and a separate address bar and a toolbar – it's so pretty and functional, can we please have this back? 🥺 pic.twitter.com/Nttnv7LZFg— Federico Viticci (@viticci) July 21, 2021
So you know that little multi-window button in the iPadOS 15 app switcher that tells you when an app has multiple windows open?I thought it was just an indicator. Turns out you can click it to show those multiple windows in Exposé. pic.twitter.com/ki6ZnpemCA— Federico Viticci (@viticci) July 21, 2021
