Leaving him with two conclusions since AMG was not a household name at the time. The car was built by either AMG in the United States, or by someone who had intimate knowledge of Mercedes-Benz and AMG products at a time when few people would have had such knowledge outside AMG. However, there is no conclusive proof or documentation to support either. What do you think? Is this one of AMG's long lost cars or a really good conversion using period parts? 😎 _____________________________________________ 🚘 1979 Mercedes-Benz 500 TE AMG 💯 Desirable pre-merger W123 📰 @RMSothebys Essen Sale 📸 @TomWood_Photography 💵 Estimate: €60,000 - €70,000 _______________________________________________ #classiccarchasers #forsale #auction #essen #mitsubishi #starion #youngtimer #mercedes #german #rmsothebys".
