Jonny Lieberman on Instagram: "A bit more on this Hartmann bodied V-16 Cadillac. On the bottom there you see the original Swiss owner Phillipe Barraud and his little dog standing next to the 22-foot long beast. The coach builder Willy Hartmann showed the playboy Barraud a few different designs, but he ultimately chose the one which most closely aped Figoni et Falaschi. Barraud hated driving the monster, crashed it constantly (small Swiis mountain roads), and in the 1960s it was found abandoned in a field. The Hartmann Caddy bounced around between several owners, reportedly changing hands for as little as $925. The Blackhawk Museum in Danville, California eventually acquired the car and put it on display. I’m not sure who painted it red, but it was in the Blackhawk in not too great shape for several years. Wrong grille, wrong bright work, etc. I’m glad it’s back to its original condition now. I still think it shoulda won. Thing is, once you’re on the lawn at Pebble, you can’t compete...

Thing is, once you’re on the lawn at Pebble, you can’t compete for another decade (you can be displayed, you just can’t compete). Here’s to this Caddy winning in 2028. #cadillac #hartmann @cadillac 🇨🇭🇺🇸👊🇨🇭🇺🇸".
