And at EAA AirVenture another surprise: Despite taking no pre-orders for the airplane, they announced that more than 20 have been sold, the first of which was delivered at the show.

CubCrafters introduced two new models of the two-place, high-wing, single-engine aircraft based on Piper’s 80-year-old design and both share increases in payload, range, speed, and utility. By far, the more popular light sport model of the CubCrafters Cub is the Carbon Cub model, trouncing sales of the company's Sport Cub S2 by 80 Carbon Cub sales to one Sport Cub sale. Now, the FAA has listed the Carbon Cub as a kit requiring the owner to do 51 percent of the work.
