Helix Along Curve - General Houdini Questions - od|forum
Hello, Could any one please help me with getting this helix to follow the input curve? I have a vop that generates a helix from the input curve which is great, I just need to make it follow the input curve as a guide now which is where I'm stuck. Packing spheres in volume of shape - Grasshopper - McNeel Forum
Packing spheres in volume of shape - Grasshopper - McNeel Forum
Hello, I have some visual tests to do. how can I get a packing of spheres inside a closed shape. goal is to know how many spheres would fit for further build. Ive looked around but didnt find a solution in the forums. Example 10in x 10in x10in cube. filled with 1in diameter spheres. would it be 1260 spheres ? Can grasshopper do this visually so i can change spheres diameters and box sizes ? eventually to get sphere counts in different non box shapes or meshes

Over the last couple of weeks I started to learn Houdini, partly from tutorials by Entagma and others, partially by implementing things I worked on in Grasshopper for Rhino (which is single threaded and rather slow for larger assets) over into the Houdini world. This one started out from the Enta...

Cornu Spiral -- from Wolfram MathWorld
Cornu Spiral -- from Wolfram MathWorld
The Cornu spiral is a plot in the complex plane of the points B(t)=S(t)+iC(t), (1) where S(t) and C(t) are the Fresnel integrals (von Seggern 2007, p. 210; Gray 1997, p. 65). The Cornu spiral is also known as the clothoid or Euler's spiral. It was probably first studied by Johann Bernoulli around 1696 (Bernoulli 1967, pp. 1084-1086). A Cornu spiral describes diffraction from the edge of a half-plane. The quantities C(t)/S(t) and S(t)/C(t) are plotted above. The slope of the curve's...
